While it’s fairly easy to get why the official description mentions Sunn O))), this is perhaps an easier, softer listening experience than Sunn’s stuff. More meditative and soothing, I guess, so I’d even recommend it to Sunn’s detractors, as long as you’re into ambiant-ish music.

All of this apologetic wrist wringing of the vocals is extremely lame. They are awesome. That said, I am a fan of Unsane, Drive Like Jehu, Barkmarket, and Big Black. Strong release. Brien Hindman

Il disco dimostra una maturità e un carattere nuovi, la componente industrial ha preso il sopravvento e le incursioni noise sono sempre più frequenti. Ci sono anche molti ritmi tribali, la voce è perennemente riverberata e i riff di chitarra sono quasi indistinguibili.
